What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto adjuster position at American Family Insurance?
This position is for an Auto Investigation Desk Adjuster that is bilingual in English / Spanish You will investigate and maintain property / casualty claims.
Determine liability, secures information, reviews coverages, arrange appraisals, and settles claims.
Compensation Minimum : $55,000 / year
Compensation Maximum : $90,000 / year
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Primary Accountabilities
- Provide customer policy activities for new business or renewal policies and policy changes.
- Complete system entry process for new policies or policy changes for multiple systems.
- Research inquiries from customers or agents.
- Generate letters, correspondence and policy documents.
- May conduct on-the-job training.
- May support call center operations when call demand exceeds forecast or problem escalation requires assistance.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-focused solutions or support.
- Basic knowledge of state-specific regulations and system / procedural support for insurance or brokerage products.
- Basic knowledge and application of underwriting, servicing or billing guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience using reference materials, reading policy language, and processing rules and procedures.
- Must pass bilingual assessments in reading, understanding, writing, and conversing fluently in both Spanish and English.
Licenses
You will need to obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing after hire.
In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4 days per week) working from home. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings and culture events.
