What makes an AFF Vice President, National Sales:
The Vice President of National Sales at American First Finance (AFF) is ultimately responsible for selling American First Finance’s program(s) to both new and existing retail partners. This position is designed for a self-starter with a high level of confidence in selling B2B. The Vice President of National Sales is charged with establishing new strategic relationships for the company across a myriad of different industry types, such as furniture & mattress, elective medical, automotive, dental, appliance & electronics and many more. The position is responsible for increasing transaction originations as the result of new relationships and producing sales lift from current relationships. The position requires the ability to put forth a strategic plan with the help of leadership, identify the critical tasks, and then execute on the plan in a timely manner. Travel is a must for the position as it requires a substantial amount of in-person selling, relationship building, and gaining a presence with new audiences. The Vice President of National Sales will also contribute to the company’s ongoing process improvement and innovation efforts related to the overall sales process, sales tools, client success and customer experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Drive new transaction originations of across all AFF products: loans and leases.
Direct sales to business owners, senior executives and company stakeholders.
Prospect, research, cold call, network and overall identify an ongoing pipeline of opportunities.
Establish a presence for AFF with different trades and industry influencers through trade group and buying group affiliations, conference exhibits, and other.
Manage Relationships with existing AFF merchants and continue to partner with those merchants to gain a greater share of their business.
Review and recommend best practices for the AFF sales process, sales presentations, sales tools, digital and in-store marketing, account management and client experience.
Review and recommend best practices and technology enhancement leading to innovation in the merchant experience and a best-in-class customer experience.
Develop, present, and implement an annual Strategic Plan to support your portfolio of merchant partners.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience.
Proven face-to-face selling experience.
Proven ability to research, prospect and develop new pipeline opportunities.
Superior skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
High energy, great organization skills and uncompromised integrity.
Demonstrated track record at achieving measurable goals.
Must be a self-motivator and willing to create your own sales pipeline.
Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and follow up.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance for any required driving.
Must pass a criminal background
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Bonus Skills:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Prior experience and knowledge of Consumer Finance, Lease-to-Own, Point of Sales Finance or BNPL.
