What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at American Flatbread?
We are looking to hire a bartender/server to join our team! 3 nights a week 3pm-8pm & Sunday 12pm-8pm shift available. Fast paced work environment, friendly staff & FREE PIZZA!!
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and enforce alcohol consumption policies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably as a bartender
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs)
- Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the respective jurisdiction)
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes is a plus
