Asset Protection Technology Coordinator
The position of Asset Protection Technology Coordinator reports directly to the Sr. Manager of reporting, analytics, and investigations. Responsible for leading American Freight’s Asset Protection technology strategy and roadmap that creates a technology ecosystem. Required to bring extensive knowledge in the areas of CCTV, fire alarm, burglar alarm, case management and POS exception-based solutions. This position will require excellent partnership acumen to effectively work across business functions to develop and implement solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs in-depth operational assessments that ensures technology supports organizational priorities on safety, security, and the reduction of loss
- Is a subject matter expert and provides recommendations for the implementation of new technology or modification of current systems that enhance safety or prevent and mitigate loss.
- Must be able to work cross functionally and foster an environment of teamwork and effective communication with key stakeholders and Sr. Leadership.
- Explores and evaluates potential new solutions that align with the strategic objectives outlined as part of the technology roadmap
- Excels at planning and managing new projects from concept to pilot to capital funding and successful deployment.
- Ensures investments achieve the desired strategic business outcomes and ensures projects are completed on time, and on budget.
- Responsible for influencing and maintaining the Asset Protection technology roadmap, participates in the 3-year planning and annual budgeting process.
- Leads training and knowledge transfer sessions aimed at improving the capabilities of those who will leverage the technology in use.

Desired Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent related experience can substitute for degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years combined technology experience and must include planning and implementation experience.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritizing (time management), problem solving and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence activities and results of those who are not direct reports.
- Proven ability to identify and implement effective technologies that enhance safety, security and reduce loss.
- Advanced computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe).
- Must be willing to travel (Approx. 10%) and be flexible with working hours depending on business needs and deadlines.
