A CFO of multiple small businesses, headquartered in Hiram GA, is looking for a trusted assistant to work closely with on all aspects of the business. This individual will gain considerable experience and knowledge, working first-hand with the CFO who has a servant’s heart and teach-first mentality. You will be supported and coached in all of your learning, growth, and development, and you will have a real say in the direction of businesses to have a positive impact on hundreds of individuals lives. The businesses you will work on range across industries such as construction, multifamily development and investing, and rental real estate.
Your day-to-day will vary and be dynamic which will keep this role very fresh and exciting. You will get involved in day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting, assisting CFO with monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, assisting with compliance work such as insurance renewals & reviews, licensing and renewals, support in HR functions such as payroll reporting, assistance on end of year tax preparations, as well as a great potential for your own influence on creative/ strategic projects such as analyzing vendor performance, reviewing employee compensation and benefits packages, budgeting for new hires and other growth/ investment opportunities. Long story short, this individual will have a lot of opportunity to get involved and make an impact wherever they see room for opportunity- all with the oversight, guidance, and coaching of the CFO.

Responsibilities
- Assistance with business bookkeeping, transaction categorization and accounting
- Assistance with preparation and audit of business financial information for CFO reports
- Assistance with planning, collection, and compilation of business financial information for tax purposes
- Assistance with HR functions such as payroll, employee absence management, hiring & onboarding, etc.
- Assistance with information to provide to third parties such as banks, insurance agencies, etc.
- Assistance with oversight of financial functions such as billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable and vendor management, and inventory/ warehouse management
- General assistance to CFO on various other tasks/ business functions
Qualifications
- Degree in finance, accounting, tax, or business preferred. Other analytically-focused degrees may also be considered.
- 3 years of experience in business, finance, accounting, consulting, or tax environment preferred
- Trustworthy with sensitive business information such as financial statements, employee compensation, etc.
- Reliable, trustworthy, can-do, positive attitude, openness and willingness to learn, willingness to take on new tasks, excellent communication and relationship skills
- Able to quickly switch tasks, while still keeping in mind other related activities and seeing connection points across varying issues
- Skillful in computer software such as Microsoft office, excel, email, calendar management softwares
- Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting-related software a plus
- Highly organized, skillful in document management
- Able to prepare, analyze, and distill complex data and information into actionable insights and understandable reports
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
