The position is responsible for the development of new products and maintenance of existing products. This role is also responsible for coordinating with the various departments product creation from development to launch and expiration.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of Product Development related experience or a combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Internet and related software applications
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure in a faced paced environment
  • Ability to work independently or within a group setting
  • Ability to make recommendations and implement process improvements

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree or professional designations (i.e., CPCU)
  • Insurance or Service Contract/Warranty experience
  • Experience with automotive, RV, marine or Powersports retail operations

Essential Functions

  • Lead the efforts to analyze the financial potential of new product ideas, along with presenting the corresponding business plans and justification for new business opportunities
  • Utilize knowledge of pricing, processes, and the industry to analyze products and ensure that market position is maintained
  • Ensure integrity of existing products by servicing as lead/team member on product enhancement projects
  • Translate business ideas and market opportunities or trends into new product ideas
  • Develop customer agreements and coordinate the development of any marketing materials
  • Develop and maintain database of competitors as well as research potential new product opportunities
  • Coordinate all phases of product introduction to ensure program accuracy from development through implementation
  • Track and coordinate timelines from all departments to ensure product finalization
  • Analyze product sales data to ensure volume requirements are met
  • Benchmark product pricing and coverage in the marketplace
  • Develop and analyze competitive product, pricing, and coverage comparisons
  • Point of contact on all product development or modification related inquiries
  • Support communications, education and launch of a product
  • Update and maintain internal and external communication documentation for new product releases
  • Provide timely feedback to reporting Manager regarding service failures or customer concerns, escalate cases through the appropriate channels in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain positive business relationships by establishing rapport with customers (agents, dealers, and internal personnel)
  • Manage third party vendor relationships
  • Stay current with market, system information, changes, and updates
  • Willingness to accept additional tasks, special projects, and other related duties and/or direction as assigned and work collaboratively with other AGWS Managers and staff
  • Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines, company, and industry demands
  • Interact with Management and guests presenting a polished and professional image in all settings
