We are currently hiring for a Development Director in our Greater Cincinnati office.  The primary responsibility will be to oversee corporate fundraising, volunteer recruitment and management, and digital experience/event management for our Heart of Cincinnati and Go Red for Women campaigns.  The campaigns include our signature Heart Ball and Go Red for Women Luncheon events respectively.  

 

We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission and offer a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and auction items.
  • Identify, recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership including implementing a year-round cultivation plan.
  • Develop profiles on the top businesses within the assigned markets with a documented plan to secure their involvement.
  • Execute digital experience/event logistics based on national best practices.
  • Work with AVP and Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred; college graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including large and small group presentations, group facilitation, and training. Skill in written communications to include clear and concise narrative reports, evaluations, and similar narrative pieces.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and analyze number goals, as well as fundraising reports. Skill in use of spreadsheet/database analysis.
  • Ability to do daily travel up to 50%.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
