The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Manager, Finance Systems at our office located in Dallas, TX. (Flexible work arrangements available)

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Business Technology Finance Systems Application team. The Finance Systems team works closely with the Finance Team to support AHA’ s Oracle Fusion Platform.

Responsibilities include leading the BT Finance Systems team members that includes full-time and part-time resources and hands on daily activities as part of the team. The core financial system that is used by the finance team is Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Platform, EPM, and various other Oracle and supporting platforms. Duties include managing team resources within an agile framework and mentoring the team members in growing their skills and understanding of the systems.

This position is also key in the migration from JD Edward, Enterprise One into Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform. This is projected to be a 2-year project and this position requires a strong understanding of the activities and challenges in such a large project. This position will also work closely with the Finance and other AHA departments during this project to support the successful migration to Fusion.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the team in problem solving and system design sessions to address business needs and projects and when needed based on changing needs, addresses the design and architecture to ensure successful completion of the projects.
  • Attracts, develops, coaches and supervises team staff. Manages activities with complete integrity and in accordance with AHA policies, systems, practices and programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform end-users and lead/perform the development activities and production support for Configuration changes, Customizations, Integrations, Data Migration, Reports, and unit testing using SDLC methodologies.
  • Manage and participate in the ongoing business support for enhancements, issues, and data/configuration updates within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform. This includes, but is not limited to, GL, AR, AP, Projects, Inventory, Order Management, Subscription Management, Manufacturing, Fixed Assets.
  • Design, create, execute architecture specifications for Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP with specific experience around data extracts, data migration, integration with other systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Creation of new dashboards, reports, integrations in support of business needs in adherence to SDLC methodologies
  • Identify functionality gaps and support the development of solutions/alternatives.
  • Continuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become available.
  • Write configuration documents and functional specifications for requested system enhancements.
  • Perform root cause analysis leading to changes in configuration, data issues corrections, process optimization, integration error correction procedures.
  • Drive best practices for the ERP modules and integrations.
  • Create documentation – implementation guides, data flow mapping documents and diagrams, training materials as needed etc.,
  • Manage, plan, and execute small to medium sized projects and contribute to determining feasibility of goals/objectives. These processes must adhere to the AHA Project Management Office guidelines for projects.
  • Lead / Participate in project and team meetings and provide updates and statuses.
  • Manage period close process along with business leads (Monthly / Yearly)

Participates in Business Technology planning process providing resource allocation information, high-level project estimates and technical guidance to all departments and levels within the organization.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of Experience in Oracle Fusion Financial cloud in two or more of the Finance modules (PO, GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Tax, Intercompany, Tax, Revenue Management Cloud Services)
  • Familiarity / experience with BI tools such Tableau, OTBI, Fusion Analytic Warehouse
  • 3 years' experience writing and executing SQL code
  • Actively lead a migration from another Finance Platform into Oracle Cloud ERP Platform.
  • Expert in navigating the Oracle's Service Request (SR) process
  • Hands on experience with Configuration, support, and subject matter expertise through working closely with globally spread teams (IT, Business, End Users and 3rd party vendors)
  • Strong Period close process knowledge & experience on all Oracle Fusion Finance modules (monthly / Qtr. and yearly)
  • Self-sufficient in debugging / root cause of technical and functional issues.
  • 5 years' experience leading/managing teams of at least 5-member team as a player / coach.
  • Excellent documentation skills required. Role will prepare various project documents, functional specifications, setup documents, training materials, updates to knowledge repository,
  • Experience creating SOPs & Run Books and other materials
  • Track key application metrics, drive insights, and build reports and dashboards to measure results against goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Will be required to lead meetings and provide updates to business leadership.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and on paper; tailoring the form and method of communications to the needs and perceptions of the recipients
  • Ability to break complex problems down into simple elements and to solve them logically
  • Strong time management skills with demonstrated experience in managing complex systems

Here are some of the preferred experience:

  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting.
  • Knowledge of JD Edward EnterpriseOne finance system (System will be maintained till we migrate to the Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion ERP Platform.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM.
