The Specialty Equipment Technician is responsible for the setup, packaging, and shipping of CPAP Bilevel devices in a warehouse setting. The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The Specialty Equipment Technician is responsible for the setup, packaging, and shipping of CPAP Bilevel devices in a warehouse setting. This employee uses company resources, policies, and procedures to provide excellent customer service. They will use appropriate technologies and follow processes in accordance with company standards to ensure patient contact is handled with accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs CPAP/Bilevel setups in a timely and professional manner
- This includes verification of all required documentation
- instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment and order maintenance in the operating system
- Prepares and ships CPAP/Bilevel equipment
- Ensures proper packaging to avoid damage of equipment in transit
- Keeps daily inventory of devices
- Proper communication with management on pending orders and inventory status
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
- Follows applicable policies and procedures of the company, including those in the Safety Regulatory Manual including but not limited to General Safety, OSHA, and Emergency Planning
- Represents the company through professional personal appearance, actions, and patient care activities
- May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, or other periods of absenteeism
- May be required to work overtime and/or on Saturdays to ensure orders are fulfilled for the month
Qualifications
- Must possess good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must be computer-literate (including Microsoft Office) with excellent documentation skills
- Must be able to read and interpret instructions
- Work independently or in a group setting
- All work will be carried out in accordance with local, state, or other regulatory and payer requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
