An Ag Diesel Technician performs diagnostics, repair, and maintenance work on agricultural equipment to the best ability to ensure customer satisfaction.
Position Summary:
The Elkhart American Implement location is actively seeking qualified and motivated Ag Diesel Technicians with a passion for the agricultural industry who will be able to efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various systems in different pieces of equipment to keep producers up and running to their full potential. A great candidate is an individual who likes to problem-solve, is a continuous learner with a dedicated work ethic, and can present themselves in a professional, courteous and positive manner.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on agricultural equipment.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Follow safety precautions while operating vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition and working order.
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
- Follow production schedules and requirements for completion of assignments.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
- Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in the use of diagnostic equipment.
- Computer skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Set of tools to perform equipment repairs and maintenance.
