JOB TITLE: Packing Set Up Person

DEPARTMENT: Shipping/Packing

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE: Monday Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm & Friday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm

Overtime may be required beyond the posted work schedule and may vary on a weekly basis

SUMMARY

Packing furniture based on the customers' orders and production schedule.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pack furniture for shipment
• Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Shrink wrap, build trays, carton furniture.
• Pull all required materials in each package.
• Scan tickets for accurate shipment tracking
• All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Previous warehouse or shipping experience is a plus.
• Furniture manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• AS400 and basic computer skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work full time.
• Able to work with other associates on a team production incentive.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

EFFORT

• Product may weigh up to 300 pounds. Moving and lifting of these products will involve assistance from other associates and/or lifting equipment.
• Lifting product from floor to buggy and buggy to tray
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Able to use equipment such as electric pallet jack, hand trucks/dollies & heat gun for shrink wrapping.
