How you will make an impact
- Serve as a company advocate when managing incoming phone calls
- Responsible for providing effective customer service in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and/or services
- Describe different company offerings when applicable, write applications, and submit to the underwriting department
- Ascertain the reason clients are contacting the company and provide a resolution that results in a positive experience, while also building and maintaining professional relationships
- Be an available resource
- Stay apprised regarding state mandates, legislation requirements, and how each plan/requirement varies
- Receive policy applications and complete the process via phone
- Quote and bind coverage on new business applications and assist field personnel with the development of quotes and illustrations
- Implement changes on existing policies
- Produce certificates of insurance when applicable
- Maintain applicable license(s) and/or designations; Completing ongoing continuing education at no cost to you
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold an active Property and Casualty (P&C) license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur fees associated / No out of pocket expenses)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work experience in a call center and/or customer focused positions (Insurance, Banking, Finance, Retail, Hospitality, Food service)
- Bi-lingual communication skills
- Positive phone disposition, with ability to maintain confidence when communicating resolution to clients
- Strong cognitive skills, with talent to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and learn/retain information quickly
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and follow-up
- Passion to provide the highest quality of customer service to clients
- Aptitude to navigate various computer programs simultaneously (Microsoft Office applications and internal systems)
- Commitment to ongoing education in relation to the company and products/services offered
- Completion of insurance industry classes/courses
Salary for this position can range from $38,687 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $58,031 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
