The Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine (CFRS) is an Ortho-Spine specialty practice with clinical sites in Shrewsbury, Toms River, and Edison, New Jersey.
There are several key differentiators that allow this practice to stand out amongst the rest most notably their complicated revision case load and use of robotics in the operating room which substantially improves their patients’ surgical outcomes compared to the traditional surgical approach still being implemented by all other spine specialists in their market.
Their proven approach has yielded significant reductions in patients’ length of stay which is not only beneficial to the patient but also our carriers in total reimbursements to the hospital.
In addition, we offer onsite x-ray, epidural injections, facet injections, SI joint injections, trigger point injections, RFA radio frequency ablation, and fracture care.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to : Opening and closing the office daily, greeting patients professionally both in person and on the telephone, and promptly assisting patients and addressing any questions or concerns;
including traveling with our providers to our Toms River, NJ and Edison, NJ offices several times per month.Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling, registration of patients, verifying financial records and collecting patient charges.
Notifying the clinical team of patient’s arrival, comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions, and ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
Managing fax queue and medical records.Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.Other duties as assigned.Experience Required : High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum two years of medical office experience required;
Orthopedic or Orthopedic Spine experience preferred Skills Required : Ability to work collaboratively in an ethnically, linguistically, and culturally diverse environment.
Must have a working knowledge of medical practice management software (for example : Athena, Cerner, ECW, Epic) and electronic health records.
Working knowledge of fax machines, copiers, scanners.Basic word processing skills.
- Must be familiar with Windows environment and have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Excellent organizational skills;
- able to prioritize work in accordance with supervisory input.Detailed orientated.Strong writing skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
personable and professional telephone presence.Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and accuracy.
Able to lift to 25 pounds.Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer use, telephone use, and hand dexterity.
Fluency in Spanish, preferred.
