SHIFT: 1st Shift - 12/hrs. (7am-7pm)


SUMMARY: Responsible for supplying the press room with all applied materials required for the manufacture of our product line.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Follow established color matching and color control procedures for the department.
  • Perform all necessary recording functions; labeling of each batch/drum, inventory ticket, batch ticket.
  • Assist the shift supervisor as required.
  • Blend or prepare, as required, all other applied materials for each press run; solvent, lacquers, adhesives.
  • Maintain supply of materials throughout the press runs.
  • Receiving of materials and rotating stock (includes forklift operations).
  • Follow all department and plant safety procedures and be an active participant in our safety programs.
  • Job requires a high level of self-motivation and advanced prioritization skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
