Are you looking for a summer job that offers more than just a paycheck? American Pool is seeking lifeguards aged 15 or older to join our team and help us ensure the safety of swimmers in our pools. We offer lifeguard training for all our lifeguards, so even if you're new to the job, you can still apply!
As a lifeguard at American Pool, your primary responsibility will be to keep swimmers safe. You'll need to be vigilant and attentive at all times, scanning the pool for potential hazards and taking action to prevent accidents. You'll also need to enforce pool rules, respond to emergencies quickly and calmly, and communicate effectively with other lifeguards and pool staff.
But being a lifeguard isn't just about safety. You'll also have the opportunity to interact with swimmers and help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere at our pools. You'll get to know regulars and newcomers alike and be a key part of their summer experience.
In addition to lifeguard training, we offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and a supportive team environment. Daily responsibilities include:
- Maintaining constant surveillance of the pool area
- Enforcing pool rules and regulations
- Responding to emergencies and administering first aid as needed
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and testing pool chemicals
- Interacting with swimmers in a friendly and professional manner
To qualify for this position, you must be:
- At least 15 years old
- Be able to swim proficiently
- Willing to undergo our lifeguard training program, which includes both classroom and in-water instruction
