PURPOSE: The Annual Fund Manager isresponsible for the growth, engagement, and retention of AmericanPrairie’s Annual Fund donors. This role develops the communicationsand marketing programs necessary to optimize our donor base andincrease donations under $50,0000.
This role is responsible for understanding thedemographics and trends of donors and building compellingengagement and donation campaigns to substantially increase theimpact of the Annual Fund.
This role provides direct support to the VicePresident and Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible forintroducing best practices and tactics across all levels of donors.As a member of the marketing team, this role manages internal andexternal creative resources to deliver impactful, efficient, andeffective multi-channel marketing to our donor population.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for all marketing and communicationsrelated to growing and retaining Annual Fund donors anddonations.
Translate the growth strategies created by the VP ofPhilanthropy and the VP of Marketing into projects, action plans,and tactics.
Create scalable processes to foster efficientgrowth
Ensure that deadlines are met and projects arecompleted within budget
60% Brand Management, Campaigns, and ContentDevelopment
Develop and deploy the marketing plan for AmericanPrairie that drives increased retention, giving, and engagementwith our Annual Fund donors.
Produce engaging and relevant content for variousplatforms, marketing assets, and communications that isrepresentative of the American Prairie brand and voice.
Manage creative resources to develop and deploymarketing campaigns.
Responsible for transforming and continuously evolvingour monthly giving campaign.
Responsible for developing “new donor” communicationsand cadence to increase strong new donor affinity and drive repeatgifts and overall retention.
Responsible for creating a monthly cultivationcommunication utilizing storylines from across the organizationincluding our social media, field operations, and communityoutreach.

Research and analyze our Annual Fund donor populationto identify trends, opportunities, and audiences.
Action these insights to make recommendations onstrategies, campaigns, and appeals.
Create, maintain and conduct analytics reporting andextract key insights for future campaign development andstrategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations ontactics
Track, analyze, and report on key performanceindicators, using them to drive decision making and resourceallocation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Enthusiasm for and positive representation of AmericanPrairie’s mission, goals and culture.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, orrelated field.
3-5 years of experience in philanthropy, marketing,advertising, public relations, or communications, or other relatedfields as an individual contributor.
Experience delivering Annual Fund or Appeal campaignsin a non-profit organization
Demonstrated marketing performance with knowledge ofsocial media, online communications, traditional media-basedmarketing, and brand management.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to analyze marketing metrics and report on theimpact on the business.
Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativityand attention to detail.
Proficient in data analysis, capable of clear andaccessible reporting.
Strong project, time, and resource management with effective problem solving skills.
