Controller

• Provide management with information, metrics & incisive commentary vital to the decision-making process to affect positive change.
• Produce financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in the company's growth
• Provide tools & reports for management to ensure team is able to track and hit financial objectives.
• Keep abreast of variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Provide financial analyses as needed.
• Recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of a company’s financial information.
• Process Improvement for Growth; Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
• Streamline and simplify budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes so that the business is scalable.
• Assess current accounting operations and offer recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes; make tangible improvements towards automation of repeatable, low-value and mundane tasks in accounting.
• Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
• Budgeting & Financial Controls Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Approve/Reject budget.
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action.
• Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Manage unanticipated costs by keeping open, scheduled recurring communication streams with peers.
• Reporting & Compliance Manage and analyze financial statement, payroll, budget, tax & regulatory compliance.
• Spearhead auditing process (internal & external).
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Prepare internal & external financial statements.

Transactional Ensure all transactional activities are conducted smoothly not limited to: payroll, payables, receivables, chart of accounts, debt payments, cash disbursements, accruals, reconciliations, etc.
