Coordinator, Continuing Education

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), one of the nation's largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations, is currently searching for a coordinator to provide administrative and logistical functions related to delivering various live in-person, online, and on-demand education sessions for civil engineers.

Do you like helping professionals with training and development? We are looking for the right person to join our team that is helping to keep our members active and current with their continuing education.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with preparing video recordings for the ASCE On-Demand catalog
• Responding to email inquiries and assisting customers as needed
• Assisting with annual catalog review process
• Hosting and coordinating Zoom events employing required features (polling, breakouts rooms, etc.)
• Performing video editing and captioning of the recording and preparing file for catalog
• Coordinating the certificate series developed through ASCE's Committee on Developing Leaders, including such activities as communications and support with program participants and facilitators
• Liaising with and helping prepare instructors for visually appealing recordings
• Moderating live online training sessions
• Compiling participation and feedback data and report out as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4-year college degree or the equivalent broad knowledge in a related specialized field
• 2-3 years of experience working with an association in the Continuing Education field or similar
• Experience managing web conferencing platforms
• Thorough proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Zoom, and web applications
• Proven track record of learning and using new technologies
• Demonstrated success working in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment
• Strong written communication skills - proofreading and copy-editing
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Experience with Camtasia, Whisper AI, and Subtitle Edit
• Experience or willingness to learn how to operate video cameras and the setup and breakdown of recording equipment
• Desire and flexibility for minimal travel and work outside business hours
