Job Description:
American Staffing is currently recruiting for Automotive Fleet Repair Technicians on behalf of our client, a leading provider in the automotive repair industry specializing in fleet repair, including fleet trucks and HVAC systems. Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles, including basic electrical, basic diesel, and basic HVAC systems.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
Complete routine service tasks such as oil changes, tire changes, and brake inspections both in the shop and on-site using company-equipped trucks.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge in automotive repair.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Uphold high standards of professionalism, customer service, and quality workmanship at all times.
Requirements:
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (driving background check required).
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed (shift hours are flexible).
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in automotive repair or related field is a plus but not required.
Must pass a 4-panel drug screening.
Willingness to undergo a background check.
Pay:
Starting pay for individuals with no experience: $17-$22/hr.
Pay expectations for experienced individuals can be discussed.
Pay increases will be provided for every new certification obtained through the company's ASC-certified training program.
