Are you aSoftware Engineerexperienced with the integration and test of complex systems? Then AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for you to work within a small team that is responsible for highly complex Training Systems and sensor simulations that deliver cutting edge simulation environments for military operators. The Training Systems immerse operators through the use of simulations of RADAR, EO-IR, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Weapons, Acoustics, and aerodynamic models to provide mission readiness in immersive environments.

A week in the life of ourSoftwareEngineerincludes but is not limited to the following:
- Acquire a deep understanding of the operational system and decompose the performance into relevant Training Simulation software requirements, architecture, design, and implementation;
- Transform software designs into implementation in modern C ; and
- Understand performance requirements and turn them into technical requirements and designs following OOA/OOD principles utilizing UML
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. - B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in Software Development
- SECRET clearance
- Experience with the integration and test of complex systems.
- Experience with iterative development, understanding the pros and cons of both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with software process, configuration management, collaboration, and automated test tools; such as JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and Google Test.
- Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) development.
- Experience with multi-process and multi-threaded applications.
- Ability to work in a multi-language (C / Java) and multi-operating system (Linux, Windows) environments.
