What are the responsibilities and job description for the Towing Dispatcher position at American Towing?
As a dispatcher, you will respond to emergency roadside service requests from AAA members, using your outstanding multitasking and decision-making skills to get a tow truck driver to the scene to service the member in the most efficient manner.
The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations.
You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.
2. Communicate with compassion, patience, and professionalism at all times with AAA members and tow truck drivers.
3. Respond to incoming emergency requests; determine and provide realistic service response times.
4. Be familiar with all procedures regarding emergency roadside service calls and general towing.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Previous Emergency Roadside Service Dispatcher or other customer service experience preferred.
2. Working knowledge of tow trucks to determine and assign the appropriate equipment and driver.
3. Knowledge of local geography and major routes is a plus.
4. Tech-savvy with ability to use internet products to assist with location base searches.
