We perform groundwater surveys for ranchers, farmers, homeowners, and property developers. The job involves traveling to client properties and working in the outdoors in all types of weather. The field work is fairly physical labor, but not stressful. The job requires extended walking, squatting, lifting, pulling, and operation of survey equipment.

Our clients are primarily in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma but we have done work in 23 states. There is considerable road time to get to our clients’ properties and we depart from 9124 Watercress Drive, Lakeside, TX, 76135. We often depart very early at 5-6 AM so if you cannot get up on time, do not apply. You must be based within 30 minutes’ drive of this zip code.

The ideal candidate will be a healthy person, willing to operate a 30 lb hammer drill, all day as required, and be willing to work in all climates, no matter how hot or cold. In addition, you must be willing to share in the driving, up to six hours per day. The candidate must be willing to be away from home between 1-5 days per week. Weekly hours vary between 20-50 hours per week, sometimes more, depending upon the demand for our services. We try to work weekdays only, but on occasion our clients require weekend surveys. We pay well for the right candidate, paid weekly, and there are opportunities for growth and leadership.

You will be paid for travel and meals, and you will be expected to share in the driving of the company vehicle; therefore, you will need a current driver’s license, good driving background and must demonstrate safe driving skills. A driving test will be observed before hiring.

Educational requirements are a HS diploma or equivalent. The job requires the motivation to deliver good work and quality data to our clients. Accuracy and attention to detail is important. You must be respectful to me, my equipment, and our clients, and you will be treated with respect.
