Service Desk Technichian

We are currently searching for a motivated professional with an Information Technology background to become our next Service Desk Technician in Norwich, Connecticut.

As a Service Desk Technician, you will:

A week in the life of a Service Desk Technician:

• Provide hands on, in-person, and remote technical support and customer service
• Respond to questions from callers and walk-ins
• Maintain the operation of client computers and peripherals
• Basic help desk support
• Configure desktops and laptops
• Install hardware and software
• Troubleshoot user, printer and network problems
• Log all contacts and their resolutions in tracking software
• Educate end users
• Assist Administrators with management of local area network and enclaves

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000. • 1 years in a Helpdesk Technician or related role OR bachelor’s degree OR industry valued certifications
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance 
• Must be a US Citizen
• Available to work shifts between 7 am to 7 pm and after hours on call as scheduled
• Expanded technical troubleshooting skills
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Outstanding oral and written communications skills
• Patient and professional during stressful situations
• Able to multitask effectively
• Able to work responsibly without direct supervision
• Will accept technical certification credit for military experience, where possible
