Competitive: The salary range for this position is $ 105,600 to $ 134,400

Transparent: We construct our salaries in such a way that staff can move through the range as they grow within their level. As such, most candidates will start at the midpoint of the range with a few above or below the midpoint based on specific skill sets and experiences.

About the position:
The Clinic Director will direct and coordinate the operation of the free clinic to ensure that high-quality medical care is delivered to all patients. He/she is responsible for oversight of staff and volunteers, which is key to efficient and effective operations. As a member of the clinic’s leadership team, input into strategy and future direction essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the quality, continuity and coordination of care for all clinic patients. Maintain/mandate accurate and complete documentation of patient care.
Supervise clinic sessions including screening process, medical evaluation and care, referrals and organization/flow of session either directly or through assistant director.
Provide leadership and orientation for all volunteers. Evaluate skills, provide training with Director Staff and Patient Education and instill passion for the mission through example.
Be skilled in all procedures performed at clinic and set example for volunteer staff.
Maintain regular communication with ED informing her on essential issues, seeking guidance and support when appropriate.
Provide support for the Director Clinical Operations in the areas of
Licensing inspection and be aware of licensing/regulatory issues including implementation of infectious disease guidelines and OSHA standards.
Participate with the development of policies, procedures, clinic protocols, peer review process and QIP.
Provide support/training for all Athena EHR roles, staff and volunteer, and be knowledgeable to troubleshoot EHR issues as they arise. Develop report queries as necessary, build schedules, add/delete users, etc.
Review all consultations and laboratory, radiology and diagnostic reports; oversee follow-up and establish a system to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Maintain physical clinic site, identify inventory needs, advise on equipment requirements and remain vigilant regarding cost containment.
Work with providers to ensure patients receive the most appropriate medications through the most cost-efficient process.
Coordinate in-kind services donated from hospitals, laboratories and specialty groups to optimize patient care and maintain integrity of the program.
Interface with fundraising program and community promotional activities as needed.
Participate in community and professional groups to promote clinic awareness, coordinate resources, improve delivery of services and insure personal growth/development.
Provide support to Executive Director and other clinic sites as needed.
Acknowledge that AFC maintains a policy and procedure manual at all locations and agree to follow the policies and procedures set forth within the manual.
Perform other duties as may be requested by Americares Free Clinics.
Key Requirements
Licensed RN in CT with at least 5 years of related work experience in an adult primary care setting and health care administration and/or management experience and a passion for working with the uninsured, diverse population in a volunteer model.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing required.
Professionalism and the ability to make good judgment in fast-paced setting.
Leadership skills with experience managing and motivating employed and volunteer staff.
Experience with quality improvement preferred.
Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills with the ability to work well in all Microsoft Office applications.
Strong EHR skills; ability and desire to be trained as Super User
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Team orientation; balanced focus on personal accountability and team goals
High energy; even-keeled temperament.
Experience with monitoring and evaluation and quality review a plus.
Spanish fluency desired.
US work authorization required.

Through respectful leadership and example, motivate staff to perform at highest level.
