JOB SUMMARY:
Americo is currently hiring for a Senior Actuarial Associate. Ideal candidate would be a near ASA through FSA with actuarial modeling experience. This role can expand depending on the level of the candidate. This position will be a leader in Prophet modeling and is tasked with maintaining, validating, updating and supporting actuarial models used for principles-based reserves, GAAP LDTI, ERM, ALM, cash flow testing, and budgeting. This person will collaborate with the Prophet team in implementation and coordination of consistent Prophet framework across models while contributing to model governance guidelines. This person will also need to provide actuarial and technical support to both the Actuarial Valuation and Pricing departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and support Prophet 360 Actuarial Software
- Provide accurate projections for budgeting, cash flow, and ALM analysis
- Special projects as directed by Senior Management
- Analyze and enhance current systems, as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Prophet Actuarial Software and related systems
- Knowledge of database applications (SQL or similar)
- Knowledge of life insurance industry and practices
- Knowledge of actuarial guidelines and Code of Professional Conduct
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Knowledge of products and administration system
- Ability to solve problems/analyze/reconcile results.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four-year college education.
