CFS Compliance and Data VISTA

Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan (CFS) is recruiting a full-time (40 hours per week) AmeriCorps VISTA member to serve their community during a one-year term in its Traverse City or Harbor Springs office. During your term of service, you will help strengthen rural communities in northern Michigan and lift families out of poverty by increasing the capacity of CFS to provide programming to underserved clients and engage community partners. The CFS Compliance and Data VISTA will research, evaluate, and improve current data collection, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts at CFS including customer satisfaction. The Compliance and Data VISTA will additionally provide support to and actively participate in various CFS committees and teams to improve tools, systems, and processes that will increase the effectiveness and efficiency as it relates to data collection, evaluation, and compliance.

Member Duties : DUTIES: Improve and develop data collection, evaluation, policies, procedures, tools, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts; Research, update, and implement systems for CFS programs that utilize technology to increase the efficiency and capacity; Research potential options for a new dashboard system to replace current Excel documents tracking program outputs and outcomes and assist in developing a new data/appointment tracking systems for CFS programs; Participate in and support the Health and Safety Committee in improving and implementing systems for meeting building and organization safety and environmental needs; Develop training guides and work with staff to facilitate improved systems and tools for training new staff, collecting and reporting data, and using the state-wide systems; and update resources and information to ensure CFS staff can provide effective and accurate community referrals for additional services needed.
