Community Outreach Associate
The recruited AmeriCorps VISTA Member will assume the position of Community Outreach Associate with Raising A Village Foundation (RAV) in Washington, D.C. The VISTA member will be responsible for building the organization's capacity to work with underserved youth and families through the expansion of RAV community initiatives and the recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers across program sites in the D.C. metropolitan area. Additionally, the Community Outreach Associate will work to provide family engagement activities, field trips, recognition events, and other community engagement activities for RAV constituents. This is an ideal position for candidates seeking an opportunity to work in an innovative, non-profit environment while making high organizational impacts. Member Duties : Raising A Village Foundation is committed to recruiting highly-skilled candidates to serve as our AmeriCorps VISTA Community Outreach Associate. We are seeking a passionate advocate for equity who is willing to take on the challenges of serving the most underserved communities. The candidates we select for this position will be highly motivated, well-organized, self-directed, and possess skills in the areas of: program development, community engagement, event planning. The AmeriCorps VISTA Community Outreach Associate must be someone who can be responsible for the implementation of educational programs, building community relationships with community partners, and providing community events. The AmeriCorps VISTA Community Outreach Associate should possess excellent administrative abilities and youth development experience. Excellent interpersonal relations skills are required.
