Notre Dame AmeriCorps/Bon Secours members strive to empower individuals facing economic hardship through education and one-on-one support. We believe that education is the fundamental tool in the struggle for human dignity, self-esteem and self-determination. We seek to build community among our members, as well as the people we serve by reaching out across culture and class. We are committed to helping people help themselves. Our goal is to promote and encourage education, community empowerment, leadership development and multicultural harmony in hopes of producing greater unity, less violence and better-informed citizens in our communities.

Member Duties : NDA members at Bon Secours affiliated medical facilities aid with the overall well-being of patients by focusing on hospitality, communication between patients/families & staff, organizing community outreach & education programs, and facilitating a nurturing & healthy environment for patients/families to promote recovery & healing. NDA/Bon Secours Members at Cristo Rey High School focus on small group & one on one education settings in order to promote classroom engagement, assist students in advancing their academic goals, and achieving overall academic success.
