The Position:
AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Deposit Operations Specialist who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. In this role you will need to:
- Perform Deposit Operation tasks related to member share account transactions.
- Support teammates throughout the Credit Union in addressing member inquiries on deposit and share account administration and maintenance.
- Work collaboratively to maintain efficient and effective procedures to achieve department and organization goals in compliance with regulations and professional standards.
What You’ll Do:
As a Deposit Operations Specialist your primary responsibilities will include:
- Acquire thorough understanding and application of policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to Deposit Operation functions including but not limited to:
- Check processing (adjustments, exceptions, and maintenance).
- Debit and credit general ledger accounting entries and processing.
- ATM and electronic payments including Wire, ACH and Treasury management services.
- IOLA (interest on Lawyers Accounts) reporting.
- Monitor and process account reconciliations related to Federal Reserve account balancing, Teller work processing, and ATM cash and check processing.
- Perform check repair and balancing of all checks (Financial Centers, ATM, Kiosk and Remote Deposit Capture) processed through Image Center System.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts daily and make corrections as needed.
- Reconcile ATM Cash and Check deposit general ledger accounts on a Daily and monthly basis.
- Deposit account confirmation replies, file maintenance and address change request completion.
- Review of Regulation D/excess transaction reports.
- Perform dormant account compliance.
- Generate reporting for multiple general ledger accounts daily, monthly and yearly.
- Daily transaction exceptions processing for ACH, Checks and General ledgers.
