Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced Associate Scientist to join our team.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
This position is responsible for creating master production batch documents, ensuring that development documentation is accurate and logged, and supports special research projects. Position analyzes and evaluates data related to ingredients, formulations, and processes statistically leading to an understanding of the properties thereof.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned area to ensure organizational objectives are met.

Generates the bill of materials and master production batch documentation based on master formulas and ingredient packaging information for new formulations.

Ensures that all pertinent technical and scientific documentation for all ingredients contained in the finished products is properly filed.

Conducts analyses of data collected on the attributes of components and products to determine the applicable implications.

Carries out testing for assigned projects and writes corresponding technical reports.

Obtains samples from suppliers along with technical and scientific documentation.

Liaises R&D with Production, Quality, and other departments during trials and initial commercial production of new products when required.

Researches new technologies and ingredients leading to new products and processes via literature review, technical conferences, and hands-on research.

Assists with corrective actions for production problems related to formulation and process.

Records all collected data, interpretation/analysis, discussion, and conclusions/recommendations accurately in lab notebook for proper documentation.

Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the R&D Director and Sr. Director of Scientific Services.

Qualifications:
Education / Experience / Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy plus 2 years of experience in Product and Process Development in the dietary/nutritional supplement or food related industries.

Statistical data analysis experience preferred.

Formulation experience with powders and solid dosage forms

Effervescent experience a plus
Skills Required:

Demonstrated knowledge in product development, experimental design and agile technical problem solving.

Knowledge of CFR Title 21, Part 111, and NSF regulations and standards.

Knowledge and understanding of GMP and FDA regulations.

Use of technical and scientific principles to solve challenges coupled with innovation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain and develop working relationships across functional areas.

Computer proficiency and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
