Puget Sound Wealth Advisors, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial, is seeking a full time Paraplanner to join our innovative and dynamic team. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.
Job Purpose:
Serve as a Paraplanner, providing exceptionally friendly, helpful, high-quality service to our clients. This position will work closely with clients and advisors to assist with creating financial plans, assisting with transactions, and completing investment research. This role has the opportunity to grow into an Associate Advisor role.
Responsibilities:
- Pre and post meeting prep and follow up
- Update client’s financial plan analysis and prepare recommendations in NaviPlan
- Complete investment research
- Attend client meetings and take notes
- Execute trades with documented direction from Advisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of similar work experience in a professional office environment, ideally in the financial services industry
- Hold the Series 7, Series 66 and WA Life & Health or obtain within six months of being hired
- Pleasant, professional, and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong team player
- Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
- Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Experience with NaviPlan
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
- Strong personal and business ethics and integrity
Salary and Benefits:
- Compensation: $60,000-$74,000 per year, depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package including PTO and paid holidays, medical insurance with 70% of premiums paid, dental insurance with 50% of premiums paid and 401k plan with matching.
