The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range from general accounting activities, more technical accounting areas, and special projects including process improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

* Preparation or review of general ledger entries.

* Maintenance of automated recurring general ledger entries.

* Preparation or review of consolidating/eliminating entries.

* Preparation or review of general ledger account reconciliations.

* Prepaid expenses.

* Accrued liabilities.

* Assist with management of month-end close process.

* Variance analysis and other financial analysis of reported results.

* Accounting for leases.

* Accounting for interest rate swap derivative financial instruments.

* Fair value measurements.

* Compiling information needed by third party tax professionals related to federal corporate income tax and state corporate income tax.

* Coordinate quarterly federal and state tax payments.

* Provide support for external auditors.

* Prepare support for selected financial statement footnotes.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

* Solid knowledge of US GAAP.

* Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and key internal controls applicable to accounting area.

* Familiarity with federal and state corporate income tax a plus.

* Advanced Excel skills; Competent in Word and PowerPoint.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

* Strong oral and written interpersonal skills; able to cultivate relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization.

Industry and Work Experience:

* 3-5 years professional accounting experience required.

* Public accounting experience or public company experience preferred.

* Financial institution accounting experience a plus.

Academic:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

* Master's degree in Accounting or MBA a plus.

* CPA preferred.
