Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Data & Analytics Intern to drive the business by performing various responsibilities such as (but not limited to) Data analysis, Business Intelligence and insights development, D&A POV content development, Web page development and maintenance etc.
Internship to begin in December 2023 or January 2024.
What you do
- Analyze and work with small to large data sets in Excel or using SQL.
- Develop visualizations and reports that drive the story of the data analysis by using programs like Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
- Find patterns and insights in unstructured/structured data.
- Utilize critical thinking skills throughout analysis.
- Prepare presentations to be given to leadership.
What you bring
- Must be actively enrolled in one of the following degree programs below:
- Business/Data Analytics
- Data Science
- Business intelligence and data story telling
- Data Analytics Engineering
- Must be able to commit to 1-year of work.
- Available hours must fall between 8 am to 5 pm.
- Part-time during the school year (20 hours/week)
- Full-time during the summer (30-40 hours/week)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and manage deliverables in a timely fashion based on priorities set.
- Able to visualize and report insights creatively in variety of formats to various stakeholders
- Have the capability to follow directions and independently deliver on projects
- Ability to follow industry best practices and work with both business and IT partners
- Desire to research and learn new technologies and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to use data to influence strategic decision making
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
