What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr New Business Rep - Life Insurance position at AMERITAS?
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.
The Sr New Business Representative – Life Insurance is responsible for the issuance, administrative functions, and customer service on cases, products, and plans for the enterprise. The incumbent must interpret and fulfill all requirements necessary for accurate processing, while following current procedures in accordance with industry/state regulations, internal/external audit recommendations, and compliance directives.

What you do
- Researches customer needs and problems and develops informed, innovative solutions. Provides decisive action within defined parameters of authority to build customer loyalty while maintaining the financial and procedural integrity of the case and proactively communicating with customers.
- Services plans/policies throughout the life cycle.
- Possesses a working knowledge of the functions and systems across the organization as they relate to administrative functions.
- Meets or exceeds service standards with respect to accuracy, turnaround time, and overall quality of products and services.
- Requires a high level of detail and multi-tasking in addition to excellent and courteous customer service.
- Answers customer inquiries regarding products/plans.
- Responsible for account reconciliation by utilizing appropriate systems.
- Provides service, distributes information, and/or communicates to policyholders, associates in field offices, agents/brokers, strategic alliances, and other partners.
- Provides leadership, guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.
- Must stay abreast to product and case education and associate training and coaching; identifies and resolves system and processing related issues.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years of related experience required.
