Job Description
Ameritech Facility Services is seeking a full time and experienced jack-of-all-trades carpenter/handyman willing to travel. This is position involves remodels, renovations and roll outs for Restaurants and Retail Establishments. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in carpentry with a basic understanding of electrical, flooring and plumbing. Must be able to pass a background check.
Basic Skills in the following Trades:
Minor plumbing connections (sink supply and drain lines)
Minor electrical connections (disconnect and reconnect equipment)
Drywall
Metal and Wood Framing
Concrete Repairs
Painting
Millwork
Tile Repairs
Painting
Use of basic tools and the ability to install or assemble by following instructions
Handling projects when needed
Heavy lifting, standing, bending, and reaching
Working a flexible schedule of days, nights, or weekends
Ability to manage time and prioritize; must follow special instructions and schedules
Effective communication
Maintaining a clean and professional appearance
Must have the following:
Commercial Construction Experience (3 years), preferably restaurant
Ability to travel regionally (50-75%)
Clean driving record and personal transportation
Tools (drills, saws, hammers, ladders, cords, shop vac, caulking gun, etc). Specialty tools will be rented (concrete saw, jackhammer, etc)
Cell phone
Good communications skills ability to FAX, SCAN and EMAIL PHOTOS
Willingness to learn other skills
