The Ames High School coaching staff is looking for an Associate Girls Cross Country Coach for the 2023-24 season.

Work Schedule: During the season, the work schedule will be 2-3 hours daily M-F for practices. Various nights and weekends are also required for meets.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Assists coaching staff in running a competitive cross country program.
  • Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
  • Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all athletes, parents, and staff.
  • Onsite work required.
  • Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: A current Department of Education Coaching Authorization and the ability to pass a background check are required. Click here for information on how to obtain Coaching Authorization:

Preferred Qualifications: Experience coaching high school cross country.

Compensation: $1,356 stipend
