TEMPORARY POSITION WITH PERMANT POTENTIAL!
Assembles sub assemblies and parts of electric motors using a number of components, hand tools and power tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under general direction with a minimum of supervision.
- Work from drawings, blueprints, work orders and verbal instructions.
- Assemble and fit a variety of motors using a number of components, working to close tolerances.
- Ensure that all processing and completed motors meet specified quality standards.
- Report defective materials or process problems to supervisor.
- Obtain parts and materials to build motors from the stock room.
- Set up and operate equipment to proper feeds and speeds to achieve winding, soldering, wrapping and testing of motors and various coil assemblies to blue print.
- Equipment includes hand tools and power tools such as a torque wrench, arbor press, screwdrivers, ohms meter and holding fixtures.
- Versatility required to performing bench type operations such as gluing, staking, welding and ultrasonic cleaning.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Prepare finished work for shipment or storage as instructed or required.
- Use computer to access Product Center to obtain prints and JD Edwards to verify ship date, routers and bill of material.
- Maintain quality standards as established by company.
- Follow standard practices and procedures as outlined by policy.
- Obey all safety procedures.
- Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform all other duties as directed or required.
- Frequent lifting and bending required.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) highly preferred.
Must be able to complete basic math problems.
1-3 years related manufacturing experience and/or training preferred, but not required. Will train on the job.
Good work history with previous employers regardless of industry considered!
Ability to read blueprints a plus
Ability to lift 50 lbs a plus, but not required
Requires great attention to detail
Computer experience preferred
Additional Characteristics:
This position works as both an individual contributor and in a team environment
This position required the ability to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
This position may require standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day
This position required good manually dexterity and visual acuity
This position will require the use of a variety of equipment including hand tools and calibrated measuring equipment in the normal performance of their jobs such as, but not limited to: calipers, plug gauges, drop indicators, force gauges, torque measuring screwdrivers, oscilloscope, dial gauges, torque wrenches, micrometers, and specially designed PMT manufacturing measuring equipment.
