Role Summary:
Responsible for sales of MOCON and Alphasense sensor products for the Americas, assisting both customers and partners. Responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategy to achieve sales target and win in a competitive market. Customer interactions include maintaining relationships with large OEMs to maintain blanket contracts, direct quotes to smaller manufacturers and users, and driving partnerships with new accounts. This role will be the main sales driver for the sensor product lines in the territory and work closely with Product Management, Inside Sales, and Marketing Communications to hit budgeted targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Management Responsibility:
- Playing a key role in the sales growth of the company by achieving the assigned revenue target for the region
- Manage/Recruit/Train Regional Distributors and Resellers in assigned region as strategy requires
- Review yearly sales plan and update the current quarter’s plan
- Forecasting of orders and revenue by month, quarter, and year
- Observing the defects in the sales strategies of the product line and making/recommending improvements
- Participate in company’s sales meeting, distributor meetings, and various conferences/seminars
- Work with Product Management to stay current on competition/technology and sharing regional insights
Territory Responsibility:
- Territory consists of North & South America
- Managing the pipeline broken out by USA, Canada, and LATAM through direct and partner channels
- Works with customers for forecasting and purchase order gaining
- Obtain new orders through effective use of in-person and virtual meetings
- Maintains good relationship with customers and become a resource for them
- Manages customer commitments and obligations, knows how to close contract negotiations
- Understand different sales process techniques, or different selling systems, to obtain sales goals
Required travel can be 50% or more if needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or extensive technical experience
- 5 years in sales position that included travel
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Effective internal/external communication and negotiation skills with a strong customer orientation
- SalesForce, Epicor, Concur experience a bonus
- Motivated, team player that can also work independently

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
