Summary of Position
The Sr. Process Engineer role Leads teams in problem solving and the development of new solutions and processes. Works closely with Operations, Product Development and Sales on product and process initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Sciences with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience required.
- Experience in medical devices manufacturing to an ISO 13485 standard or similar desired.
- Experience in an FDA regulatory environment a plus.
- Broad engineering abilities and an understanding of electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and industrial engineering; A general understanding of each area with a focus in one or more discipline.
- A working knowledge of Creo, AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks,
- Competence in laser, automation, and machine vision manufacturing processes desired. Or catheter manufacturing experience or medical device experience.
- Experience performing DOEs and statistical data analysis highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to apply to a broad range of manufacturing issues and opportunities.
- Able to work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects of moderate complexity.
- Proven decision making abilities and demonstrated sound judgment.
- Experience in lean, six sigma is beneficial.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to identify Manufacturing Process Constraints.
- Design and implement Manufacturing Process Improvements.
- Identify and select Manufacturing Capital Equipment and prepare necessary appropriations request.
- Support or lead projects to debvelop manufacturing capability to build new products.
- Support new or improved manufacturing systems that improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Lead and/or work on projects that support global manufacturing operations.
- Provide expertise and support manufacturing, engineering and product development.
- Preparation of financial analysis for capital expenditures for tooling and equipment needed in support of new and ezisting product lines or processes.
- Maintain positive relationship with internal and external customers
- Supports the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and teams.
