The Position

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented ACO Editor-Junior to support the Airworthiness Cybersafe Office. The salary range of this position is $60,000.00 - $91,000.00, and is commensurate with experience This position is eligible for hybrid work.

A Typical Day As An ACO Editor-Junior May Include
Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion. Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets. Is reliable, possesses initiative, and works well as an individual or part of a team.
Physical Environment And Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs.

A Typical Day As An ACO Editor-Junior May Include
- Participates in daily stand-up meetings
- Creates and updates NATOPS flight manuals
- Incorporates data into XML format when received from subject matter experts and other sources
- Reviews formats and layouts of manuals to ensure accuracy of drafts and final products for varied government deliverables
- Evaluates NATOPS products for data integrity and other possible discrepancies
- Monitors progress of government deliverables using planning and tracking software
- Travels to support conferences
- Participates in working groups
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-5 years of relevant work experience
- Prior knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- An understanding that primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment
- The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- BA/BS Degree
- Experience with ArborText XML Editor Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with Naval Airworthiness Style Guides, MIL-DTL, Standard work Packages, NATOPS/NATIP and Broadvision
- Knowledge of HTML
- Familiarity with version control systems
- Previous experience working in an Agile work environment
