Associate Anaplan Model Builder

The Associate Model Builder will report to the Senior Manager Information Systems and will work out of Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. Our new Tampa Capability Center provides essential services that enable us to better pursue this mission. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.

Key Responsibilities:

With guidance, applies knowledge of basic principles, methods and practices as follows:

• Rapidly scale up your skillset on the Anaplan platform leveraging our training program
• Contribute to Anaplan model building activities, including build and validation of model structure, calculations, dashboards etc.
• Collaborate with the lead architect and product owner to understand and prioritize delivery of Agile user stories
• Proactively identify & implement opportunities to automate tasks and develop reusable frameworks
• Support user enablement and trainings to achieve self-reliance on model development and use
• Maintain SDLC documentation using Agile tools such as Confluence
• Provide operational support in a DevOps model for deployed Anaplan solutions

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Or

Associate’s degree and 4 years of Finance & Accounting or Information Systems

Or

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Finance & Accounting or Information Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven attention to detail and proactive communication
• Functional knowledge around Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis processes and systems
• Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills a plus
• Experience working in Agile & DevOps teams a plus
• Experience with Schema Design & Dimensional data modeling
• Possesses strong learning agility and technical know-how - ability to breakdown complex topics issues and into actionable plans for team execution
• Desire to work with a truly dynamic and exciting team, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including a natural ability to convey complex technical topics to diverse audiences
• Excellent critical and analytical thinking with solid attention to detail
• Experience with cloud ETL tools (e.g Databricks) and Tableau a plus
• Proficiency in one of the following coding languages a plus: Python, Java, Scala
