Be part of Amgen's newest and most advanced drug substance manufacturing plant. When completed, the Amgen FleX Batch facility will combine the latest in disposable technologies with traditional stainless-steel equipment to allow for maximum flexibility in operations. The FleX Batch facility will not only feature the best in-class drug substance manufacturing technologies with embedded industry 4.0 capabilities, but it will also integrate sustainability innovations to reduce carbon and waste, as part of Amgen's plan to be a carbon-neutral company by 2027.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Master’s degree and 2 years of government affairs, communications or corporate affairs experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of government affairs, communications or corporate affairs experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of government affairs, communications or corporate affairs experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of government affairs, communications or corporate affairs experience

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is [salary range].

- In collaboration with Amgen North Carolina Corporate Affairs site lead and site leadership, the Manager will develop and execute the site’s internal communication strategy, with a particular emphasis on helping build a culture consistent with the Amgen Values and to ensure staff are informed, aligned and engaged with company priorities.
- Responsibilities include building and implementing plans to engage Amgen employees in local philanthropy and education.
- Create content for employees and leaders to raise the profile and reputation of Amgen internally and externally.
- Manage local Corporate Affairs budget and other administrative duties.
- Partner with leadership to capture data needed to drive communications.
- To achieve their goals, the Manager will collaborate with numerous internal cross-functional teams, agency partners and vendors.

- 5 years of corporate affairs experience.
- Outstanding communication skills and established relationships with industry, government, and academia within the Raleigh-Durham region.
- High level written and digital communications skills together with media relations expertise
- Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence in a corporate affairs setting
- Digital and social media savvy and capability
