Job Posting for Traffic Control Coordinator at AMI Construction, Inc.
The Traffic Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, setting up, managing, and removing traffic control operations on job sites. This role is best suited for a team player who is action-oriented and can lead with a firm yet considerate disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
Prep job sites by employing traffic control devices - traffic cones, barricades, signs, and etc.
Implement and report traffic control plans to proper authorities. Communicate effectively with crews and the public.
Ensuring safety of all personnel on the job site by maintaining a work safety zone from start to finish.
Abide by all laws and regulations - traffic laws, company procedures, DOT regulations, etc.
Report as well as prevent any accidents, hazards, or violations.
Keep check of inventory of all traffic devices.
Work with the management team to stay updated on job knowledge and be informed of any changes.
Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and work to establish a positive rapport with every contact.
Willing to crosstrain and help out on other crews when needed: paving, milling, sealcoat & stripe, base & stone, concrete, etc.
Perform other duties assigned.
Skills Needed:
Must have a clean, valid Drivers License.
Must hold up-to-date Flagger Certification.
Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
