About the Project/Clinic:

AMI will operate and provide temporary housing facilities for families and pregnant individuals seeking shelters (referred to as Family Guests), offering staffing, supportive services, and wrap-around assistance. Additionally, AMI will aid in identifying longer-term housing solutions for the Family Guests.

Job Summary:

​​The Program Director will oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of the assigned facilities, with a focus on lodging maintenance, food services, recreation, check-in/check-out processes, security, technology, and client/partner management. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the shelters, with the primary goal of providing a safe and supportive environment for the guest families. The Program Director will work closely with the client, staff, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure the successful delivery of services and the well-being of the families.  Additionally, will be responsible for ensuring the completion of all reporting and coordination activities as required by HLC and AMI PMO.  ​

  • Oversee all aspects of shelters management, including case management team, hotel services, and direct care services.
  • Coordinate with Lead Social Worker to ensure family guests are consistently meeting EOHLC standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: 
  • ​Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the shelters, ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards. 
  • ​Monitor and evaluate operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. 
  • ​Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and timely resolution of operational issues.  
  • Lodging Management: 
  • ​​Address any lodging-related concerns or complaints promptly and effectively with hotel management.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with hotel management. 
  • Food Services Management: 
  • ​Collaborate with food service providers to ensure the provision of nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and cultural preferences of families. 
  • Monitor food service operations, including procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and HLC policies. 
  • ​Address any food-related concerns or issues raised by families appropriately.
  • Intake/Discharge Processes: 
  • ​Coordinate with Lead Social Worker and HLC to develop and implement efficient and organized intake/discharge procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and proper record-keeping. 
  • ​Coordinate the registration and intake process for new families, providing orientation and necessary information about the shelters’ rules and resources. 
  • ​Oversee the discharge process, ensuring proper documentation and support services for families transitioning out of the shelters.
  • Ensure all intake/discharge activities are consistent with family guests and HLC policy.
  • Safety Management: 
  • ​Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel in the building. 
  • ​Coordinate with security personnel and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and emergencies if necessary. 
  • ​Ensure appropriate safety training for staff. 
  • Technology Management: 
  • ​Oversee the use and maintenance of technology systems and equipment, including communication tools and databases. 
  • ​Identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved operational efficiency and resident support. 
  • ​Collaborate with IT support providers to address any technology-related issues or upgrades. 
  • Client and Partner Management:
  • Maintain relationships with EOHLC and other appropriate agencies to create smooth operational management of the shelters.
  • Manage reporting across shelters to provide needed statistics, snapshots, and information within a reasonable time frame.

The job duties are flexible and subject to change depending upon operational needs

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.   
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.     
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.    
  • Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process, including a motor vehicle check.    
  • Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Office.  
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation  
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, visitors, and staff from diverse backgrounds.  
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong cultural awareness and track record working with diverse populations and needs. 
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.  
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Completed BLS training is preferred. 
  • Ability to be on call after hours and on weekends.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, is desired. 
  • At least two-three years of related experience required. 
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable. 

Additional Requirements:

  • ​​​​​Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.  
  • ​​Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior. 
  • ​​Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  
  • ​​Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. 
  • ​​Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently. 
  • ​​Written and spoken fluency in English
  • ​Language proficiency in Haitian Creole, Spanish, or French is preferred. 
  • ​Must be able to reliably commute between assigned locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 per hour
