Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hands on experience with Apache Cassandra & Azure Cosmos DB.
• Design, configure and automate Cassandra, Cosmos database clusters.
• Good experience in Cosmos DB, Cassandra/NO SQL data modelling.
• Capable of handling/managing large Cassandra & CosmosDB clusters.
• Must have experience in relational SQL and NO SQL databases.
• Extensive design and development experience on Casandra with implementation knowledge on cloud (Azure/AWS Cloud Platform)
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning Cassandra ring & Cosmos DB
• Capable of handling common database procedures, such as upgrades, backups, recovery, migration, etc.
• Setting up Opcenter with Prometheus/Grafana
• Proficient in scripting languages and automation.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible
• Work closely with Compliance, Site Reliability Engineering, to ensure the managed Azure infrastructure is performant, healthy, patched, secure and all SLOs & SLAs are met.

Primary / Mandatory skills:

• Overall Experience: 4 years of experience with Apache Cassandra
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• 4 years of experience using Unix/Linux OS environments
• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Certification
• 5 years of experience in working in Cassandra Administrator role
• 3 years of experience working core cloud technologies in IaaS & PaaS offerings
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
• Experience with Prometheus/Grafana, Presto, Reaper is preferable
• Candidate must be willing to learn/expand/explore/implement and share new technologies. Secondary / Desired skills
• Experience in COSMOS DB is preferrable.
• experience in Agile, Lean Agile and/or Scaled Agile methodologies: 2 - Novice (limited experience)
• experience in following technologies Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting, Kubernetes, Docker,
• Linux Administration RHEL/Centos/Ubuntu, Kafka, Cassandra, MongoDB, NGINX, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus – Advanced
• Recognized cloud certification(s) such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Developer,
• or other recognized technology certifications in this space
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering preferred
