Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and familiar with Sage or other accounting software. Strong organizational skills, accounting experience, time management, punctuality, strong work ethic and the ability to multitask with attention to detail are also required. · Assists the Finance Director, Executive Director or other staff with the preparation of reports or other documents
· Responsible for purchasing office supplies and verifying supply inventory prior to purchasing
· Verifies packing slips for receipt of all office supplies, matching packing slips to invoices, and accurately coding and entering accounts payable
· Filing and maintaining accounts payable
· Assists the Management Team in the preparation for annual audits and other site visits
· Enters daily deposits and journal entries in to the accounting software
· Assists in maintenance of corporate equipment and furnishing and in the annual physical inventory
· Assists the Executive Director and Finance Director with grant related activities
Other duties as assigned.
