Job Description:
The Lab Attendant will be responsible for the daily care of the lab, which will include cleaning the floor and work area. Lab Attendants will also be responsible for cleaning all machines and utensils used on a daily basis and sterilizing utensils according to Food Safety regulations. Lab Attendants will be responsible for preparing for the following days production and preparing the tubes for extraction. Lab Attendants must be aware of the Lab SOPs and be aware of the hazards in their environment. Lab Attendants must meet and strive to exceed goals set by management. Lab Attendants must cheerfully execute their duties and maintain a productive work environment. Lab Attendants will strive to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Lab Attendants must be aware of and execute food safety standards as they pertain to the zones in the greenhouses.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Tube packing
· Alcohol extraction techniques
· Butane extraction techniques
· Oven tending
· Waste disposal, properly and according to AZDHS standards
· Gas testing
· Cleaning of machines
· Machine maintenance, checking, cleaning
· Environment cleaning and maintaining a clutter-free area of work
· Food Safety precautions and standards
· Lift twenty-five pounds overhead. Lift fifty pounds waist-high and walk twenty feet
· Maintaining chain-of-custody for product as it is converted to concentrate
· Maintain OSHA and Safety compliance
· Working knowledge of SOPs as they pertain to the lab
· Share ideas with manager and team, speak to individuals and groups
· Communication skills; oral, written, electronic
· Proper handling and storage of all solvents
· Duties can be added and/or withdrawn at the Company’s discretion
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field of study preferred, or
· 1-3 years relatable experience & High school diploma or equivalent at minimum
· Applicants should have experience in producing a variety of cannabis concentrate products, using Butane, CO2 and EtOH
· At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
· Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
· If necessary, ability to work 7 days per week and to be flexible with schedule.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location:
Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.
SAFETY & TRAINING
· Consistently observe and enforce prescribed safety rules and practices
· Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
· Use equipment and tools safely and alert supervisor of training needs if unsure of proper procedures.
· Adhere to department and company safety policies and procedures; assist with the development of on-site policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed
