Role: MDM Architect

Job Purpose:

The MDM Solution Architect will be a client-facing cornerstone of information management projects and will contribute to the strategy and architecture for mastering and governing Client core data entities

The MDM Architect will be responsible to understand and improve the existing Domain & Enterprise governance across the business and propose the MDM Roadmap (Based on Phases Domains & Use cases)

The MDM Architect should contribute to the analysis of data requirements, data integration, and performing complex data mapping activities should also ensure & enforce data integrity for the proposed MDM Architecture and alignment to governance standards.

Tune MDM Tools to refine data matching, survivorship, and merge rules, and achieve an optimal balance between functionality and performance

Provide thought leadership to drive the technical aspects of solution architecture design, development, and implementation across projects and teams in collaboration with key IT leaders

Support in identifying and implementing the right tools for data governance & data catalog management.

Leverage industry knowledge and MDM experience to provide thought leadership and best practices to guide the client’s organizations in implementing Master Data Management solutions

Conduct interviews with the Client Architects and System SMEs to understand the current state pain-points

Responsible for assessing current technical landscape source and downstream fitment analysis

Responsible for gap analysis and designing the future state to ensure that the solution fits with the ecosystem

Interact with system owners and technical SMEs to recommend optimal Data integration options

work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure the MDM architecture addresses both business and IT objectives

Finalize the To-be state system architecture and own the delivery of technical artifacts

Define high-level design for MDM (including integrations workflows etc.)

Work on the MDM tool evaluation along with the Business consultant to ensure best-fit tool is recommended for client needs

Work on the high-level MDM roadmap along with the timeline and cost involved

Prepare and present the final recommendation document

Applies business, industry, and technical knowledge (across multiple assets, domains, platforms, technologies, vendors, etc.)

Liaise with offshore/nearshore Lead for analysis of technical documentation and roadmap finalization

Leverage expertise in a technology area to design system architecture guide and review technical delivery by internal teams resolve architecture issues and deliver / own architecture of application solutions spanning across multiple technologies for projects of the following nature - high revenue projects / complex projects / large strategic maintenance project with the objective of delivering technically sound projects across one / multiple customers within the guidelines of the client and standards and norms. Understand clients existing business and explore new avenues

Exposure to handling structured, Unstructured, and Streaming data.

Must have - Technical & Soft Skills

5 years leading the design, configuration, and implementation of MDM solutions (Reltio/IBM/Informatica/Profisee) across various master and reference data domains such as Customer, Supplier, Product, Location, Market, Patient, Provider, Supply Chain, Orders, Procedures, Pharmacy (Drug Formulary), etc

Hands-on experience across all major aspects of an overall MDM program including Data Acquisition, Data Curation, and Data Syndication, and knowledge of the Platform

Ability to help lead and define a customer’s MDM strategy/roadmap, document solution requirements, and translate those requirements into technical specifications and work plans

Must be able to be hands-on with developers for code reviews and troubleshooting issues

Provides technical mentorship and guidance to the team on implementing solutions on the client-selected MDM platform

Familiarity with at least one of MDM platform (Reltio/IBM/Informatica/Profisee) including provisioning, implementation, and configuration

Monitor key performance indicators of the MDM solution to ensure data quality and established policies are working as expected

Experience with Banking, Wealth Management and/or finance industry data

Experience with data integration tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to inform, interpret, assess, and deliver thorough analysis in both written and verbal forms

Good interpersonal skills in working with both onsite and virtual teams

Experience with any industry-leading Master Data Management tool such as Reltio, Profisee, IBM Infosphere MDM, or Informatica MDM

AWS Certified Data Engineer

Nice to have

Bash and Scripting: Unix or Shell scripting

Exposure to various ETL and Business Intelligence tools

Experience in data modeling, data warehouse design, and best practices

A strong background in troubleshooting and technology support will be beneficial.

Educational Qualification

A master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required to work as a technical lead

Certification in IBM/Reltio/Informatica and AWS would be a big plus.

Individuals in this field can further display their leadership skills by completing the Project Management Professional certification offered by the Project Management Institute.
