Injection Molding Utility- Quality Inspector (PM 12hr Rotation $19/hr)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Injection Molding Technician / 12-hour rotation - 6A – 6P or 6P – 6A

Department: Molding

Reports To: Molding Manager

Summary

The candidate will be responsible for performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule; performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to ensure part conformity and quality; verifying paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start-up of jobs and in process inspections; monitoring and preparing support equipment i.e., circulators, grinders, etc. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring parts produced are of acceptable quality for production and ensuring all tools and equipment are kept clean and in good repair.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program. Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program. Follows all procedures & work instructions. Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)

• Install molds in machine according to work order specifications. Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process. Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results.
• Performs all the functions and responsibilities of a material handler. Performs mold, insert, and impression changes. Use a crane hoist to perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines. Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimized cycle times. Set up End of Arm tooling for robots. Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable molding processes. Address unacceptable reject levels. Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner. Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds, and tooling. Responsible for clear and consistent communication between shifts. Responsible for the continuous operation of production equipment. Assisting in modification of existing procedures. Creation of new standardized work procedures. General mold and machine maintenance (e.g., cleaning and lubricating of machines/molds) Help promote a positive work environment. Works to help achieve company goals and objectives.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent Trade school a plus Tow motor experience/pallet jack preferred.

• Must be able to work in the US. General maintenance and tool knowledge required. Proficient math skills and attention to detail

Competencies Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the injection molding field. Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize and follow-up on tasks with timely completion. Communicates effectively. Works well within a Team environment. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
