Berkeley is one of the core stores for Amour Vert. For almost 4 years this store has forged a path for our retail division and we are seeking an incredibly unique talent with an entrepreneurial mindset. This developmental role requires strong interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to exercise creative and resourceful independent judgment and decision-making to ensure the store operates in the best way possible. The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Store Manager and serves as a leader to the store’s staff.

Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day operations of a brick and mortar location in adherence with company initiated Policy and Procedures
- Drive sales through superior in-store service and clienteling initiatives
- Train, and develop Key Holder, Sales, identify learning opportunities, and create development plans
- Understand and communicate the needs of the store to partners at the Home Office in buying, allocations, marketing, etc.
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks with team members
- Partner with Store Manager/ Area Manager to adhere to merchandising/visual standards
- Passionate about sustainability or eager to learn more about our ethos, philosophies.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to regularly perform store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean.
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 30lbs
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
- Receive inventory shipment and support maintenance/organization of the stock room
Qualifications for having fun 7 days a week with us:
- 2 years of leadership experience - wanting to work for a small company, most don't know this but we are extremely small, and work very hard, wear many hats, and have a ton of fun working cross-functionally together.
- Excellent communication
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dropbox
- Proactive, collaborative, organized, curious, problem solver
